The holidays are a wonderful time of the year. Holiday parties are a huge hit whether it is an office party, family/friend’s party or you are hosting your own holiday party – you are going to need food.
These holiday quiche tart appetizers are easy and quick to make and they are delicious. It takes about 15 minutes to make each set of 24.
Spinach Quiche Tarts
One package of frozen pastry shells (24 count)
One large egg (beaten)
Two tablespoons of milk
Quarter cup of sharp cheese
One cup of chopped frozen spinach
Directions – Preheat oven to 325 degrees, in a mixing bowl combine the egg, milk and spinach. Mix well. Use a spoon to fill the pastry shell three-quarters of the way full then sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 12-14 insert a toothpick when it comes out clean they are done. Serve warm.
Tomato and Basil Quiche Tarts
One package of frozen pastry shells (24 count)
One large egg (beaten)
Two tablespoons of milk
Quarter cup of sharp cheese
2 Tablespoons of Basil
One can (12 ounce) of petite tomatoes (drained)
Directions - Preheat oven to 325 degrees, in a mixing bowl combine the egg, milk, tomatoes, and basil mix well. Use a spoon to fill the pastry shell three-quarters of the way full then sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 12-14 insert a toothpick when it comes out clean they are done. Serve warm.
You can use this holiday recipe with any type of vegetable you would like the tomatoes and spinach provide a nice holiday color scheme.
