This recipe for chocolate chip cookies will take you just 20 minutes to throw together. Your friends and your stomach will thank you!To make two dozen cookies, you'll need:
- 1 cup of softened butter
- 1 packed cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter with both sugars until the mixture is smooth. Beat in the first egg, followed by the second. Stir in the vanilla.In a small bowl, dissolve the baking soda in 2 teaspoons of hot water. Add it and the salt to your batter.Slowly stir the flour into your batter, cup by cup.
